On May 12, 1998, His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited Oglethorpe University Museum and viewed the exhibition, The Mystical Arts of Tibet, Featuring Personal Sacred Objects of the Dalai Lama.


As a community appreciation for his contribution to international culture, Lloyd Nick received the honored Lexus Leader of the Arts Award in Atlanta for his service to the culture of Atlanta.
