Southeastern Pastel Society's
13th  International Open Exhibition
June 13
-August 10, 2008

This exhibition features 70 of the best pastel paintings selected from among 280 submissions by artists throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. The works will be juried by Bill Hosner, a well-known pastel artist whose work is known throughout the United States and Europe. Among his other honors, he is a member of the Master Pastelist Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies, the highest recognition a pastel artist can achieve. 

The Southeastern Pastel Society was established in 1987 dedicated to promoting pastel as a medium in the Southeast. The society sponsors annual exhibitions, alternating between a Members Juried Exhibition and an International Exhibition. 

The museum will be open Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m.

Guided tours are available Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Free and ample parking is available.

Admission: $5 per adult, students and senior citizens(65 years and older), free for museum members, children under 12.

The Museum's permanent collection of fine art includes paintings by contemporary realist painters such as Richard Maury, D. Jeffrey Mims and Richard Serrin, rare family photographs of Claude Monet at Giverny, an original August Rodin engraving of Victor Hugo, and many other works of exceptional quality, beauty and intrique. These works are generally exhibited at least once during each calendar year.
