Ferreira_DiscoveryFounded in 1990, the Colored Pencil Society of America is a nonprofit organization representing nearly 2000 members. The purpose of the organization is to promote the stature and awareness of colored pencil as a fine art medium.

The CPSA 23rd Annual International Exhibition will present more than 100 works, all of which are created with colored pencil only. Submissions are from artists, members and non-members alike, who are at least 18 years old. It offers $15,000 in awards including the Best of Show and CIPPY Award.

The OU Museum of Art is closed for the holidays. We will be back Feb. 11 with a new exhibit: "Beloved Community: African American Artists in Atlanta Collections."

OUMA is participating in Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day 2019 with free admission and special hours.
