Georgia Watercolor Society National Exhibition
March 14-April 30, 2015
The Georgia Watercolor Society (GWS) holds a Signature Member Exhibition biennially and the GWS National Exhibition, open to any artist working in water media, is held annually. OUMA is delighted to host the GWS in 2015 for both the Signature and National Exhibitions.
The Georgia Watercolor Society was formed in March 1975. It was organized to advance the art of watercolor painting while contributing to the cultural atmosphere and standards of the state of Georgia. It also provides support and assistance for its members and others endeavoring in the field of watercolor painting.
GWS publishes a quarterly newsletter written to inform members of shows and activities, as well as providing tips, techniques, and hints for improving the artists’ creative abilities. In addition, GWS hosts a website that provides samples of art, current and upcoming events and exhibits, award winners, links to other art websites, and a variety of valuable information for all water media artists. GWS sponsors workshops and demonstrations throughout the year.
Note: Iain Stewart will conduct a week-long watercolor workshop at OUMA, April 6-10. For more information, contact the Georgia Watercolor Society or call Ms. Daryl Nicholson, 404-664-6741.
