“Oglethorpe’s Portfolio: Art by Students” is a student-curated exhibition of art featuring a variety of artistic mediums. On display are 13 different pieces from 7 student artists representing various academic disciplines including Studio Art, Art History, Biology, Business, Economics and Theatre.

The featured artists include: Brenna Alford ’23, Jaziba Bahri ’23, Xiadani Espinoza Hernandez ’23, Brandon Lawhorn ’24, Montserrat Olvera Hernandez ’23, Jackson Owen ’21 and Kaitlyn Terrell ’23.

This unique exhibition was curated by a fellow Oglethorpe student, Nicole Buruse ’23 an art history major with a double minor in nonprofit management and business administration.

“”Each artist submitted works they were most proud of, showed their individual authenticity, or represented something that mattered dearly to them,” says Buruse, “The purpose of this exhibition is to highlight each artist in their own way and emphasize their different academic backgrounds, ethnicities, sexualities, lifestyles, and more.”
