Now in the Center Gallery — “Reconstructing Perspectives” was curated by Oglethorpe student Hayleigh Stonham ’22 for her honor’s thesis.

This exhibition examines underappreciated female British artists who, during a time of extreme social transition, asserted their independence in an otherwise male-dominated environment. Sadly, many of these same artists were largely forgotten soon after their deaths. However, because of research initiatives like those of Ms. Stonham the work of these artists are being reassessed and further appreciated for future generations.
